Health Knowledge is Our Collective Power
For too long, cultural taboos and systemic gaps have left South Asian women to navigate their health in silence. This year, AMBERFest 2026 is breaking that silence. We are coming together to bridge the gap between medical expertise and our community’s needs.
A Space for Every Woman, at Every Stage
Whether you are a young woman starting your journey, a mother helping her children navigate their first cycles, or an elder moving through the wisdom of menopause—this event is built for you. We are tackling the vital issues that impact us all: Periods • Sexual Health • Fertility • Breast Cancer • Menopause
Meet Our Trailblazing Speakers
We are honoured to host four powerhouses who are redefining healthcare for our community, offering both professional expertise and lived experience:
Neelam Heera-Shergill | Founder of Cysters A grassroots champion dedicated to dismantling barriers in menstrual, mental, and maternal health. Neelam will share her experience in breaking through the stigma.
Dr. Rageshri Dhairyawan | Author of "Unheard" & Activist Leading a vital discussion on healthcare disparities and sex al health taboos, teaching us how to use collective activism to ensure our voices are heard.
Dr. Raghavan Vidya | Consultant Breast Surgeon & Pioneer A world-renowned expert and Honorary Secretary of the ABS. Dr. Vidya brings high-level clinical insight into breast health, and shares why Asian women should take notice.
Sahir Ahmed Evans | Wellness Coach & Founder of SAE Pilates Focusing on the "Health is Wealth" mindset, Sahir provides practical tools to navigate burnout, endometriosis, and the menopause transition in midlife. Sahir will share her story and inspire us to build confidence through the changes in life.
Together we Talk Pods
You will be split into smaller groups and rotate along the workshops representing health across our pillars. The workshops will give you the opportunity to engage in dynamic and meaningful discussions in smaller groups. Please select which pod you would like to attend in your registration form. Capacities are limited so you might not get your first choice.
Pod 1: How we Talk to our children about health and relationships
Pod 2: Together we Talk Menopause
Pod 3: Together we Talk about Urinary Tract Infections
Pod 4: Coping strategies in managing stress
Pod 5: Breathwork activity
Beyond the Stage: An Interactive Toolkit for Life
This isn’t just a series of lectures; it is a day of transformation and community activism.
Protect Our Health: Gain medical facts and practical steps to take control of your wellbeing.
Share Our Wisdom: Learn how to support the next generation of girls and boys so they grow up informed and empowered.
Interactive Workshops: Dedicated time for open discussion, questions, and hands-on learning in a safe, supportive space.
If we don’t share the word, who will?
Health information is a right, not a privilege. However, many women in our community remain unheard because they lack access to these vital conversations.
We are asking you to help be the bridge. Please share this invitation with your mothers, daughters, sisters, and neighbours—especially those who may not usually have access to this level of expertise.
"We are coming together not just for ourselves, but to ensure no woman is left behind. Together, we move from being unheard to being unstoppable."
